Well im really anti-corporationist, so if they make a mistake, i usually dont bother with it. Its usually only somethign small like a 50p difference, or an extra magazine, something small. Just depends on the day im having
Nah but really, if its accidental and isnt doing any/much damage, then fine.
Having worked behind a cash register for the past year and a half, I can tell you this: Be honest. If we make a mistake, let us know. We might even let you go with it. My philosophy when working the register is that I will be as kind and caring as I can. I will save you money wherever possible. Is it fair that if I make a mistake, I should have to make up the cash difference at the end of the day when our money comes out short $30?
So, would I report a mistake made in my favor? Yes. I know what goes on behind the register and how it affects the person running it.
Long time Armada community member. *sigh* I miss the good old days of Apoc, STAMODS and STGN... Where did they go?
Know this, that when the trade authorities check grocery stores the vast MAJORITY of mistakenly priced items are marked or scanned higher than they should be so the buyer gets hosed. It is NEVER the other way when they run tests. Strange huh?
To those who woul return the item:If you're feeling guilty about not paying, why not make a donation to a local charity equal to thhe cost of the item? That way the company doesn't profit from it's mistake, an you don't have a guilty consciounse, seeing as the money went to a good cause.
There is no honor among thieves as thieves have no honor. If one plans restitution to correct the error of one's ways that means returning the items and facing whatever consequences one has incurred due to their actions.
Depends. If its a mistake at Wal-Mart they aren't going to feel it. But if its a small operation, one that has a limited budget needing all the business it can get, then of course I would fix the problem.

Well the way I look at it, if they double charged me, I would be upset and would want them to correct it. So, the other way around, if they accidentily charged me half of what it should be, or accidentaly gave me something for free, I would bring it to their attention. If they wanted to take the time to correct it, I'm will to correct it. If they say don't worry about it, well then that as well is their choice. Alot of times, they will just let you have it. If you let them know about it and they do let you keep it, well you still get to keep it but don't have any guilt to deal with.
