ok back on track, who would win, a super-star destroyer, or a fleet of borg cubes (providing the cubes couldnt transfer drones on board

If you want to argue about the star trek races vs the empire, you have to look at the basic points.

The Empire has the resources of an entire galaxy behind it.

The Empire has ships that carry vast swarms of fighter craft.

The Star destroyers have really thick and dense armor.

Imperial ships have thousands of soldiers on them ( stormtroopers vs redshirts... intresting idea )

They built most of the Deathstar 2 in six months, so that gives you an idea of their building capacity.

Now lets see what star trek has...

They have transporters... which can be stopped by just about anything.

They have starfleet engineers... who design their ships to be blown up by just about anything.

They have Borg... which walk really slow and can't adapt to any weapon that uses a frequency or bullet.

I hope this post falls within the rules of this thread. :?

I'm sure the Borg could adapt to blasters, and if they got even 1 Borg drone on boards, they could in theory assimilate an entire star destroyer in a matter of days (which would be awesome to see an assimilated star destroyer)

As I said, borg walk really slow and they can't adapt to anything without a specific frequency.

Blasters don't work like phasers.

Besides, SDs aren't computer reliant like star trek ships. The borg wouldn't have the option of "hacking into the mainframe" to take over the ship.

actually if you looked into some of the books, the emperor installed a fail safe password on all SD mainframe computers, to recall them if anything ever went wrong. Same thing with a Katana Dreadnought - they were all wired to the same program. Besides,- http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Blaster - just claims that it is a bunch of highly compressed light particles, and all light has frequencies: http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr162/lect ... ctrum.html so, according to your logic, the Borg can only adapt to frquencies
