Return of Syf's Christmas Poem

Post by CaptSyf » Tue Dec 20, 2005 8:20 pm

Merry christmas all. Here's a little poem I made last year, I thought it would be nice to bring it back. There is a minor change in the poem in wording to make it friendlier to the younger reader.

Enjoy

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the board,
not a poster was posting, not even the borg.

The stockings were hung by the monitor with hast,
it seemed such a waste of that desk space.

I meddled and mucked all day on my mod,
until I decided it was ready to sod.

Then all of a sudden the silence was broke,
an email message notified me that someone had post.

I clicked on the browser, and then on the link,
I waited and waited, to see what was the stink.

It wasn't from Janeway, Picard, or some prick,
I knew right away it must be Saint Nick.

I read and read all that he had written and said,
then busted up laughing so hard I fell on my head.

It was a post of his lists both naughty and nice,
plus the story of his slip on a roof top of ice.

After his fall which he "Decked his hall",
he put everyone on the bad list, cause of his fall.

Then off to the Bahamas he flew in his sleigh,
where he will recover, at least until May.

Just as he finished his heart felt post,
he raised his glass, and offered a toast.

"To this board of modders I really must boast,
you all have what it takes so I wish you the most"!

Then he signed as always, with his personal call,
"Goodnight, and Merry Christmas to ALL"!

I hope you liked it. Now to anyone with the name a Janeway or Picard, I was not talking of you, just the names I came up with.

Funny yes. However, Syf. Even you should be able to work out why this thread has had to be moved.

Funny poem definitely. Don't worry, Captain, if I had a penny for everytime I made an error like that, well, I'd have a bigger savings account and wouldn't be working two jobs now. No worries. :)

I like the poem as well...

Merry Christmas to all!!!
I enjoy the moments of peace and quite.
You know, when you dont think about anything.
I enjoy all 3 seconds of the day when that happens.
