Enterprise should be left to die. It crashed and burned. I still say, give the franchise a break for a few years, then give us something more TNGish.

Absolutly. I didnt care a whole lot for Enterprise. It really made no sence to me why it had to look so... new. I thougth most the pre-TOS ships were more cylindrical, and at least not so sleak. It was nice to get a feel for the evolution of the directives and some of the later tech but it just wasnt thought out well.
I say that they need few years to get more ideas for the next series. Mabey post voyager. Lotsa borg maby.

The next Star Trek series should be with the restructured crew of the Enterprise E. With Data destroyed and Riker in command of his own ship it might be interesting to see how things change with a new First and Second Officer. Maybe promote Picard to Admiral and have the Titan attached to the Enterprise just to keep Riker in it.

i think enterprise was a class show, even though it is the worst star trek series to date it was still good, no idea why they scraped, at least they could have held it out until they reached a seventh series like all the other series.

although enterprise was a good series of star trek it did cock some of the original series stories up like the borg being first seen by jean luc picard not jonathan archer, but it made up for that with compelling story lines and impressive space battles, but all in all the series deserved to last up to 7 seasons, it deserved that considering all the others being 7 series. but all together it should have bin the fans that decieded whether the series should be cancelled not managerial directors who wouldnt know a good star trek series if they pulled it out of there butt. but i must be honest the nx enterprise was the worst looking star trek ship.

I agree with you but they did not mess up the storyline of the Borg. Infact, they even explained it a bit more. If you look at it from the stand point that the borg going into the past and the Enterprise stopping them. Then when they awoke and faced Archer and crew. They sent a message back to the Delta quadrant that would take almost 400 years to get there. So, Who is to say when Q sent the Enterprise D to meet the Borg for the first time and "got thier nose bloody". He was not just giving them enough warning to be able to save themselves a few years later when the Borg finally got there. Because it was only after that the Federation started designing weapons and methods to defeat the Borg.

They did good to further explain some of the storylines that people have come to know so well. I liked that about the show. But I am a very detail orriented person. So, it appeals to me.

Ofcourse I will admit that any 2 people could discuss those things till they are blue in the face and get nowhere. Heres to all of us waiting patiently (mostly anyways) for a new Star Trek series. *raises a glass*
