Doesnt the max exporter support importing?

I just got the sod exporter for 3d max and found that there was no sod entry under import. Have i done something wrong? It is the exporter for max 4 and i have max 5.

3d max importers use a different filename extension (I think its .DLI or some similair thing). Anyway, there is no way to import using the exporter.
