New ODF/Excel Tools

Post by MrVulcan »

Hi folks,

I'm releasing a set of tools for batch creation of ODFs. Download here v1.1

The tools allow you to enter all your ODFs and ODF commands into Excel, edit values directly or use formula to compute the various ODF specs, and batch export everything into your addon folder.

There are additional tools to help with computation of

- system hitpoints
- weapon hitChance lists (per ship custom hitChance, baseDamage, etc)
- weapon/ship statistics (which ships use this weapon, which ships belong to this class, etc)

Quick screens:

There are two Excel workbooks in the download and a documentation file.

1. ODF_Data_Units
2. ODF_Data_Weapons
3. Readme.pdf

This is the initial release, so bugs are to be expected. You can always catch me here on the forums for any bug reports or feature requests.

Cheers,
Mr. V

Updated to V1.1

Changes:
- Import ordnance ODFs along with weapon ODFs with no extra set up
- No need to set up all column headings (commands). Extra commands will be appended at the end of the second row.
- Append new ships to existing lists (hitChance, damageBase, etc..)

I've been working on adding the Federation back into Star Wars Fleet Command since ST vs SW 2 was never completed and in an effort to figure out balancing have been inputting all the SWFC odfs into an excel document one odf at a time. But this looks like it would be both easier to use and far more detailed than my rather limited aims. Any chance that this is in the downloads section somewhere I couldn't find it or you could reupload it since the rapidshare link seems to have died?

Sure thing. I am bit busy for the next two days, but can resurrect the tool and upload it on here. [edit: found the tool, uploaded]

ODF-Excel Tools

I have made extensive changes to the tool since version 1.1, so I will also upload the new version once I update the documentation. You can use this one in the meanwhile.

Cheers!
