Animation issues

Its me again! I have a strange issue with my animations.

As you can see, the pods are retracting too far into the ship during gameplay. The proper animation is demonstrated in the 3DS and Storm3D videos.

Sorry about the quality, but its all youtube can do for me, and my asshole housemate managed to run over our 100gb download limit once again, so i cant upload another one to a better site.

Also, after trying to redo the animations, instead of appearing on top of the ship, the pods are now below and slightly towards the front of the ship, although this does not show in 3dsmax or storm3d.

Unfortunately armada 1 no longer holds my interest. Its good simple fun, but getting iv to run nowadays has become too much of an effort to be considered worthwhile. You should get armada 2 :p

either way, nothing is being released until i've fixed these animations lol

Best guess.. Are u using the scaleSod command?

If you are try setting it to 1 and see if that helps, changeing the scale seems to screw up animations.

That is a great bit of animation, I just got 3ds max 5 and I'm trying to learn how to animate. How did you learn...from a tutorial?

Well essentially i learnt from a mixture of tutorials, and experimenting.

If you know how to use Macromedia/Adobe Flash then you know how to animate in 3DSmax =]

Also, 3DSmax comes with a myriad of tutorials, but if you dont have them they are free somewhere on the intertrons, i suggest google =D

Sorry dude.....I can't vist the forum every day. I have a lot of real life resposibilities. Sometimes its months before I get back here.
I just found this post yesterday and liked what he was doing. I thought
he could use some ecouragement, and maybe tell me were to learn a little
more about how he did it because I am interested. I've been coming here for almost ten years and I try to post as little as possible, so others can get the help they need, and I don't waste the time of veteran modders like MajorPayne. Believe me, with the way Armada forums are disapearing, I'm not trying to cause problems on any of them.
