Hi Deimos,
Yes, I have been watching Orville and yes, it does remind me of the traditional Star Trek series. If Seth MacFarlane can do it, why oh why does CBS continue to give us crap?

Re: Canon home quadrants
You are right guys. I had it on random maps set to canon, which I mistook for the canon map on the map editor. My mistake and apologies

Re: Canon home quadrants
Hi Iceman, I mean the canon map...but I ' ve just discovered you can alter it manually (is swap the positions of the Klingon and Romulan Homeworld. So it may not be that much of a problem after all. On another note, do you need any help with the shiplists? Some of those non canon designs are driving...

Canon home quadrants
Hi there, just a quick observation. I think the Klingon and Romulan canon starting positions are back to front...what I mean is that the Klingon starting position should be towards the rim making borders with the Federation and Cardassians likely in the early game, while the Romulan starting positio...

Star Trek Brave New Worlds
Hi everyone, I've just heard about this new series , Star Trek Brave New Worlds, so I scanned youtube for some episodes to see how bad, or good it is. Specifically, I came across some clips from Series 1, Episode 10, which is basically a rehash of the TOS classic episode, 'Balance of Terror' Below a...

Thanks Thunderchero,
Can you also tell me what files govern the outpost and starbase symbols seen in the corners of the territory squares?

Re: The Dominion
Hi all, I started playing Supremacy recently, and I must congratulate all those involved. Graphically, it is far superior to the original game, as you would expect after all this time (22 years after the original was released). I fully realize that this is still an ongoing work in progress, and that...

changing empire colours and name colours
Hi all,
Can someone please explain how to change an empire's territory shading on the map, and the corresponding colour of the lettering for the planet names. I did do this ages ago with hex editing but am unsure now how this is done with the ultimate editor
Regards

Hi Blake00, You wrote.. "By no means defending the show as you guys have seen my rants in this thread haha.. however you're forgetting your TNG mate. While it wasn't seen it was said in 'Descent' that when Hugh returned to his cube everything went to hell and they lost their link to the collect...

Re: Picard is back in a new Trek series!!!
I have to say that I too am disappointed with the direction this franchise has followed. The Abrams movies are nothing more that Star Wars in Star Trek clothing. Star Trek Discovery lost me when I saw what they had done to the Klingons and their ships. And now Star Trek Picard seems to be doing the ...

Re: Picard is back in a new Trek series!!!
I too don't recall any mention of the destruction of Romulus in the prime timeline. The closest one gets is Picard's statement in TNG episode "All Good Things" when he states that " the Klingons have taken over the Romulan Empire"....(I'm still trying to work out how THAT happene...

Re: I am thinking of making a mod
Just read this post sfb.swa-gaming.org/node/333 concerning a site owner having to take down his ssd site for star fleet battles because of pressure from the company.
This is a worrying development. Can organisations and companies now claim your work under new copyright laws?

Thanks Thunderchero....it's a sad state of affairs when Star Trek fans have to question the legality of their own work

I am thinking of making a mod
Having seen what happened to the Axanar fan film, and now finding out that star trek renegades has been forced to drop all star trek references in their future episodes, makes me wonder if this site will be similarly affected. Specifically, I'm wondering whether future mods will have to have the sta...

Re: hi everyone
Thanks, krazeexxl, Yes, the current situation does indeed look bleak. The current franchise owner's "we know what the fans want and let's make as much money as we can" attitude has destroyed the star trek we all grew up on. In its day, star trek was a trailblazer in so many ways, from spec...
