Editing .sav files I'm trying to add starbases and wormholes to a turn 1 game, but game crashes on attempt to load. I managed to move an entire major empire to different coordinates. I just tried with jre-6-windows-i586.exe
But still no luck

The Editor loads, and saves the changes, so it can't be java issue anyway.
The destination .res file is updated
But the game doesn't reflect the change.
I'm at a lost.

Have you locked down Ultimate Dominon Mod?

Hello Please could you help. I can't seem to get the Editor to actually work. It runs fine, as admin in command prompt - Windows 10 Pro 64bit - Java 8.0.111 The Editor comes up, I make the changes, click save. I check the stbof.res files's date modified, and it shows the correct / current time stamp...

That sounded like a very fun game! I was going to promote crossover cable setup to you - 1:1 network port connection with fixed IP addresses - but if you managed 150 turns with only 1 crash then there's no need. Isn't the concept of the game Civilization very similar to BOTF?

Why don't you create an official mod for Civ of BOTF on Steam, avoiding the copyrighted stuff, and er get paid for it!

I've spent some more time on this, and have come close to a solution. 1. Edit Colony Ship's Production from 3 to 9 - game crashes when set to 10 and above.
