1) I guess I don't understand what you mean by "accumulation." I thought you were implying that food surpluses could be saved and used in future turns.

I'm guessing the answer is no because monetizing the process brings on some tricky legal issues but I feel like long term the possibility of pulling off a project of this scale in people's spare time is going to be tough. 1) I don't think any additional complexity on the food front is necessary.
