Enterprise A got new weapons before the Xindi mission.
This hurt.
A LOT.
Ah, right. The first Enterprise didn't have the a letter.

Re: Raiding systems

Maybe morale damage? Can't think of anything else that makes sense.

Re: Supremacy new release

Minors will now be able to upgrade their PFs, thanks erazortt! Working on getting Raider minors to build a raiding fleet, and Warlike minors with StrikeCruisers to build an assault fleet. Sounds really great. =) It would even be cooler, when the aggressive Minors would declare war/raid on other Min...

Re: Colony Health

I just think, the effect is delayed.

But maybe that would make things too complicated.

The core idea I agree on. ;-)

Re: Colony Health

The question is: Is it realistic, that additional production decreases food in the same turn? I think, pollution would have a rather long-term effect. You produce heavily for 20 rounds, suddenly your food output drops with each round. And it only gets better again with time. As far as health goes, m...

Re: Colony Health

I think, your solution would be even better. After thinking deeper into it, growth on Earth has rarely been stopped because of bad health. Contries with terrible health and pollution still grow a lot. Even more so than countries with good health. "Bad health -> plague -> many dead" makes more sense....

Re: Supremacy new release

Thanks! The amount of connections is more than enough. The question for me is, how much health involves with pop growth/decline.

Very bad health should actually create negative growth.

Re: Talking About Intelligence

Qapla'! =) I think, the best launch for this would be to have Intel be useful at any time in the game. To have it boost morale and minor diplomacy could do that. As well to have it useful to explore enemy space. That's more logical than have a scout ship cruising through Klingon space and should be ...

Re: Supremacy new release

I'd also make plagues more frequent. The worse health, the more often in happening and the bigger the effect.

Btw: The "Quickening" could be part of the Dominion tech tree. Similar to the bio weapons.

Re: Supremacy new release

Should I change it back? I have mixed feelings about this. It only allocates unemployed population, using the same logic that the AI does. It does not manage your pop allocation in any other fashion. That's the player's job. I think, it's good. Checking each round for new unemployed pop is annoying...

If you're willing to dig more into that direction, I'll gladly provide more ideas what criteria could fit which race. =)

Re: Upgrade Ships

Personally, I'd scratch "updating ships and stations" off the list personally. In other words: Remove the promises of possible upgrades inside the game. All ships stay as they are, until they are scrapped for resources and new ships are build. That's how it mostly worked in Star Trek world. Non of t...

Talking About Intelligence

Me, again. I'm so sorry, chancelor Iceman. ;-) There is one big matter however, that has been traveling to time and space of my cortical notes... The one piece, that I never really digged in BotF was the limited nature of "Intelligence". While this screen is one of the "big 4" facility groups, it ne...

Re: Supremacy new release

New patch. I think a good automatic allocation logic for unused pop (during growth) would be the biggest improvement. We could use your Propulsion tech level instead of ship speed to calculate travel time, which would make researching Propulsion have one more benefit (and a non-combat one, at that)...

Re: Minor race advancement

As I dove into counter-intelligence a bit... maybe it would be nice to have a general "hide" function for ships. At the moment it is (at least with OB) not hard to spy on the factions current fleet strength. Just explore a bit next to their home world. I'd like that to be a bit less easy. That would...
