Hi Everyone,

The 20th Anniversary of the release of Birth of the Federation is now less than 2 months away "May 25 2019" it is gratuitous that it also falls on Saturday.

I propose we gather on GameRanger for quick multi-player games and reminiscing about our favorite game.

I will try to be on GameRanger as much as I can that day and night and hope to see you there.

Re: Economics Mod Proposal

So then I'm not the only one that generally finds the system manager to be useless, then. At the very least maybe these things could be applied to Supremacy. Isn't it almost out of Beta?

Re: Economics Mod Proposal

I'm glad you like the idea but as I mentioned, I'm not a programmer and can't make the mod myself. My hope was that if a someone here did like the idea who was an experienced modder they might take up the challenge themselves. Beyond that, honestly my time will be taken up mostly by writing my book....

Economics Mod Proposal

While I'm not programmer I used to moonlight as a game designer and even ran my own indie studio until recently. I've just dropped fighting through the indie world and found my true passion as a writer and am over half-way through the first draft of a sci-fi novel. While that's all sort of beside th...

Re: Exe for UDML Vanished and Reinstall Error

It ran a version update not too long ago on my machine and the virus definitions should be up to date as well. Mind sharing what anti-virus you use? I'm beginning to wonder if it might be worth a switch if you know another good free one out there some where.

Re: Exe for UDML Vanished and Reinstall Error

You must be lucky because it just gutted another critical component of the game and put it in the virus chest. I'm sending a report to avast. It seems like it may be happening during boot time scans or something because each time the game worked just fine until after my computer was shut down and re...

Re: Largest System Population

Once I was stunned and very giddy to find an 800 population system in vanilla. To make it even better, it was home to the Benzenites with their spectacular industry boosting unique structure.... And then some computer issue or something happened and had to start a new game.

Re: Exe for UDML Vanished and Reinstall Error

I had the identical issue with the tools folder that I had with UDML, essentially the same error message I typed out in the first post. Nothing at all was renamed when I started getting the error which is what confused me so much. Originally I had didn't have the tools installed and the game worked ...

On the hunt for trek (games).

I've been hitting some errors keeping me from playing BoTF (that have me almost hitting my own head on the keyboard) and was wondering if anyone knows where I can find some other free Trek games? Besides BoTF my favorite Trek game is SFCIII but I never could find a good download for it. So anyone kn...

Re: Exe for UDML Vanished and Reinstall Error

I just tried hitting Ignore in the "Retry, Abort, or Ignore" prompt and it made it through by sheer persistence... I guess? I would still like help to figure out what happened because I lost all my save data in all this mess. EDIT =====================================================================...

Auto System Manager Question

I've always tended toward making specialized systems when I played like building dedicated intel, research, and forge systems. Intel has just a bit more industry structures then intel and same goes for research so I can put upgrades through faster. Forge systems typically have no intel or research a...

Re: BOTF All in One installer 1.0.1 (Released 6-12-2017)

Sorry for the long delay in this response but I have had company over. This is specifically what I found that helped me understand what I was installing. The readme names for things made it difficult to understand what anything was referring to. https://www.armadafleetcommand.com/onscreen/botf/viewf...

Re: BOTF All in One installer 1.0.1 (Released 6-12-2017)

Well, a desire to play BOTF has driven me back to this site after a few years absence but I have encountered one issue... I am no so out of the loop on what all was going on I have no idea what the different mods within the installer do or if any would conflict with each other. There doesn't happen ...

Re: (Yet another) Return

lol. A lot of questions there.

Yes, we're using Unity.
I can't discuss my plans for the future of the company but there is big stuff going on.

What you found on that page is an older PC build. The game on the market is more polished than that.

You seem awfully curious too.
