Could you elaborate on the purpose of "Shield Level"?

Are the AI starships "aware" of their opponent's Shield Level?
If so that would be... good...

(Or do they just run away, as usual?)

Phaser Bug

Quick question - I installed a new starship to replace a vanilla one, however it does not fire its phasers during combat. All other vessels, both vanilla and new, function correctly. Bingo! And that is how you do that. I was using UE 0.6.3c; it never occured to me to check for updates. The vessels were not showing up because they were moved into slots that were "special," making them dependent on Utopia Planitia which is by default not available until a higher tech lev...

Thanks to Dr_Breen, I can use my new knowledge to explain! Starship scale can be modified by editing certain parts of code within the file "trek.exe"; which is located in the BOTF directory. (Default C:\BOTF) In order to do this, you need a simple Hex Editor. I personally used "XVI32 ...
