Birth of the Federation

I was playing as Feds and the game would hang up on a black screen and the only way to exit was by closing it in task manager. I used UE to switch the cards and when trying to complete the turn the game crashed with the following log.. ST:BOF Fri Jan 25 11:41:23 2013 Version Under Test: 72 File: ..\...

I tried both of those downloads to no avail. I was able to get them to load on an older system so I'm thinking it's a graphics card issue.

I've recently been trying to install BOTF on windows xp. I've tried vanilla, with the xp patch, joker's patch and even installing it on a vitural drive all with the same result. My screen goes black for a few seconds and the it crashes. I'm not sure if there's anything left to try. If anyone has any...
