Birth of the Federation

After the most recent uninstall/restart I run BOTF_1.0.2_English_German_d.exe and choose the Vanilla Install. That's about it. I have the 800x600 option but I don't think that I've tried that. I've run it at 1680x1050 on my old computer, but I can't get anything to run on this system.

I tried running 640x480 under the compatibility mode. It was just ridiculous on a 24" monitor.

She goes to 1024x768, but it didn't help. Nothing under the properties>compatibility tab worked either.

I have a single GTX 470 running at 1920x1080 at 60 hz. I've tried 59hz, and 1650x1080. Nothing. I would put money that it is a video driver or setting issue, but as to which one is anyone's guess. I"ll keep fiddling, and let you know if I find anything.

Still nothing. Uninstall, restart and a reinstall of 1.0.2.

Agreed. I started with the BoP, then UDM and just the vanilla. I have moved to a different thread. Thanks.

I am in the vanilla 1.0.2 with win7 x64. Didn't have this issue with the computer I built before this one. Have latest nVidia drivers, 258.96.

I'm having some trouble getting the program to run. It's been a while but I installed the 1.0.2 and then the Balance of Power. When I run it it flashes for a bit then and goes from full screen to windowed and I see just the title bar about two inches long in the upper right. I can't get it restored ...

They have never been there before. It's always stretched it to fit. Just wondering why this time is different.

I just reinstalled UDM3 3.0.0 and with a 22" I'm st 1680x1050. In the game wind it seems to be compressed horizontally and I end up with black bars on each side. I don't remember it doing this before, is there a line in the .ini where I can change this? I looked and didn't see anything pertaini...

Leave the cd version 1.0 installed?
