Try to drag the upper window bar as up as possible - it'll help with the cursor problem.

Ad 2. BotF states it in the main welcoming screen, just under "created by Gowron". However, perhaps I should mention that I updated my multiinstaller version the way thunderchero had suggested.

Ad 3. Hm, it's turned out I've not read the BoP documentation. :)

Wow! I've just made it work! If anybody needs to try it out you have to download D3DWindower. It's eg. here You need to copy D3DHook.dll into the trek.exe folder, start D3DWindower, click add program, choose trek.exe, set in settings 800x600 and click Run Program. BotF will start in windowed mod and...

windowed mode

Does anybody know whether or not there is a way to start BotF in windowed mode with Windows XP as a system? I have a slight problem with full screen as it is stretched running BotF on my laptop with 1280x800 screen. It doesn't help if I change resolution in Windows.

Any suggestions?

You are exaggerating, brisub - AIs should have this bonus. Otherwise they are laughably weak. Additionally, it is supposed to be balanced in MP - you shouldn't expect it to be balanced in SP, either, as it would demand new, much better AIs. I am currently playing a BoP 1.1b game (impossible, irregul...

Your post makes a stunningly impressive analysis! The Academy will certainly make use of it in its combat simulators, thanks mate.

Shipyards could be expained somehow, but do you think it could be possible in case of orbitals? They are destroyed by earthquakes as well. However, I like random events and I never turn them off. Hm, unless it's the Borg - that one I usually turn off starting below T4. The best way I've found to cre...

I've played many T3 vs T5 games - I like it because even with current poor AIs it is challenging (sometimes frustrating, I admit) and I have to utilize all tricks, be creative and somewhat lucky to win such a game. I've tried T1 vs T5 not once (mostly when I needed to be punished ) and I've be...

I would like to see anybody wins starting at T1 against impossible AIs at T5. It's very difficult starting at T3 vs T5 as they usually intel you to death, not to mention T1.

I think cinemas have to give something more (enough to be satisfactory for the price they demand) than we can have watching movies on high quality DVD hardware. I go to cinemas from time to time to see movies I expect to be good (eg. the Dark Knight - remakes are not always bad) and unfortunately I ...

I would love to play such a game if it was possible to make it stable enough. All my multiplayer experience is from LAN games with my friend (quite a time ago) and even for two players it was hardly bearable. However, I've recently bought a new laptop and the game is very stable on it - I've experie...
