Hey All, Can someone help me out with a basic question. What does beam range effect? I mean the min/max. Looking at the values of various ships I was always surprised to see min torpedo range is less than mix beam range. I just naturally assume that torpedo min range should be higher than beam since...

I've been playing around with UE and was attempting to mess with some of the building stats from the UCW mod. It won't open the buildings. When I select that option from the menu I get the following internal error message... editdesc.bst: String at address 00 00 A5 36 not found. I don't get this err...

I've tried everything suggested here and still end up with multiple crashes and errors. Windows 7 btw.... I've tried vanilla off the CD, the Multi-Installer, etc.....just crashes by turn 100 or before. Sigh. So along comes my brother with his Mac Book Pro with Lion OS, installs crossover from codewe...

Just got back on a BOTF kick again after about a year or two. Read through the tips and instructions for installing the Multi-Installer stuff. Quick question: I've searched around the forum and can't find anything on this, but is there a way to disable or change the AI so it doesn't retreat every time? UE Ship stats question

Can someone please tell me what the fields "Shield level" and "Shield penetration" do when modding ship stats with the UE? They are always blank, but I am wondering what they do.
