Is there anywhere else to download the All-in-One installer in the meantime?

Re: Terraforming Capacity of Task Forces

Question: if I have the ECM installed, but want transports to be able to boost terraforming speed, can I just take the original values (25 FF 00 00 00 E8 47 64 00 00 25 FF FF 00 00 42 01 C1 8B 46 04 83 C3 04 39 C2) and paste them back in at 0x6864F ? (Personally, I think that calling the original ga...

Re: Adjusting trade good output

Thanks, but it looks like I actually need to modify the code at all eight of the locations that Spock's Cuddly Tribble identified. He talks about a "shared base ratio in percent," but I don't understand what that means, or how to adapt that to the desired credit ratio. He also says that for location...

Could someone provide the code to set the Trade Goods credit output to a flat 50% of the industry output?

Is upgrading buildings worth it?

I just started playing BotF again (vanilla) after ignoring it for several years, and am struck by how expensive basic building upgrades are compared to their benefits. Take a look at the spreadsheet screenshot I've posted below, using the Romulans as an example. Notice how the cost multiplier (CostX...

I'm getting the sense that people prefer to build farms/factories/etc at the lower levels and upgrade them later, as opposed to upgrading first and then building better ones directly. What level is best (basic, level 1, level 2...)? Also, what is the formula for the industry cost of each level of bu...

Great, thanks. So to get more cash, you need more population, more morale, more trade routes, more bonus buildings, and more Ferengi. :)

Thanks, that growth link is very helpful. To confirm: when he says "food output" he means total food output, not surplus food output, right? I still don't understand the credit calculation, though. Is it something similar to this: System credits = population + industry output + trade goods (albeit w...

I don't understand credits and food

I'm just learning to play the game, so can someone explain to me exactly what the credits you get per turn is based on? I know your ship maintenance costs are deducted from it, but is the initial amount based on each system's population, or its industry rating, or a combination of the above, or some...
