Sounds like the building upgrade bug. If you attempt to upgrade buildings (especially industry) and the cost is over 65535, then you'll almost always get stuck.

I don't run the game with many of the overlay options, but I find the system names in particular to be a big cause of issues on the main map.

The first has the same map sizes as "vanilla" BOTF.

The second has map sizes that are extremely large - check the readme for more details.

Otherwise, the two are the same in content.

The offsets given in this thread are for the assembler code, not the hex locations in trek.exe. Check out this thread for the difference, and how to convert back and forth.

And doesn't the Ultimate Editor already do this? It's been awhile since I've done any tinkering...

I'm having a bit of an issue with the installer (which occurred for the 0.2.0 multi-installer as well). I don't install my game to the default directory, but one step further down: C:\Games\botf. The multi-installers have been able to handle this with little to no issue, but your Galaxies Mod instal...
