I ask because of the well known strange behavior of taskforces in progressed game - especially after re-loading savegames and/or altering ships movement. The reason for disruptors etc is due to the build as Klingons tag I would have thought as they according tothe code are the only ones to have armed Colony and Transport ships.

I have already made a combined palette for it in Photoshop, but I didn't know how to make the editor/game recognise. I'll have a go at replacing the gif's now and edit the hob's to suit.

Phaser hardpoints are part of the hob and can't be changed, unless you have the original model before it was converted to hob and edit it in a 3D modeling program. Right-click on Trek.exe and make sure compatibility is set to Win98/ME.

Right-click on Trek.exe again and run as administrator this time. It should work as it can now edit its own files.

Thanks Spock, but couldn't a ship have the same flag as a building that can only be built once (say Utopia Planetia) causing it to only allow one instance of it ingame?

Otherwise it means that Reman Warbirds are gonna have some heavy firepower!
