I would rather we consider using actual wording verses over cartooned Icons. Once the player mouses over the icons the player will get comprehension on the icon's function. This way we can make artwork of the icons as "sci-fi" as we can.

I'll see what I can do. after doing the Borg menu icons. I started looking at what we have and I think the current menus are dated. so, I've started revamping them.

Yes, it is possible. I used the colors green and yellow off display panels used in TNG, and VOY. I like the organic feel of the green circles and yellow lines of the borg display, but that may be a little difficult to pull off.
