Thanks to Wella Lasola, Bill Chinn and JeanApple for the interview. It was interesting for me as a long time BotF fan.

At one point the annoying loading times are mentioned and the solution from Bill Chinn for the problem is unfortunately not working. It seems he even didn't understood the problem.

AI ships speed

Hi botf-community,

when AI mixes ships with speed 1 and speed 2 in one group and then splits the ships again, the ships with originally speed 2 have now only speed 1 until the player has a battle with them. Can this be modded?

This might have had to be removed due to the limited copyrights they acquired. Microprose only signed rights for "The next generation" not star trek in general. from what I read Microprose pushed the limits of their copyright contract and even had to argue since the Defiant and Sovereign ...

Section 31 in BotF

In Deep Space Nine the organization "Section 31" is NOT part of the federation's secret service. I was surprised when I accidentally found the name in the lexicon (UE). I can't remember that I ever read the name in game. Does anyone know when the name is used?

in the german version of the game, several popup windows show only a short message about scientists made a breakthrough in research (message -> lexicon entry 511). i could observe this behavior for construct. tech level 2 and for weapon tech level 2 & 3 (i didn't checked all tech levels) I play...
