Re: Ultimate Editor
has there been any updates just wondering if theres anything new to try out Sorry for the delay. Now is a good time to test! Over the last month I continued to improve ship model editing features like the HOB and texture editing. Furthermore I implemented the often requested extending resource type...

Re: Extending System Bonuses & Sun Icons - edifice.bst+71h requirements
choosing methane atmosphere for all the gas giants and only them doesn't make much sense either. Usually I'd rather expect hydrogen atmospheres for the gas giants. Could also be a sorting mistake for none/methane, since vanilla gas giants support no pop, growth and TForm features? Unlikely. environ...

Re: Extending System Bonuses & Sun Icons - edifice.bst+71h requirements
And when I edit a vanilla save game planet to type 8, it shows up as "Methan". PlanetType8.jpg Type 9 = "AUS" (disabled/none) Type A+ = "Other" Given in environ.est "methane" is listed prior to "none" and given there is an actual textual planet type...

Re: For SCT (Gomtuu effect)
I do not recall if any planets even use the Methane atmosphere in Vanilla? You would have to check, but I think vanilla uses them for above listed atmosphere features for some planet combos. One could rename/change the Methane atmosphere to something else, but after terraforming the atmosphere shou...

Re: broken HOB file switch list
not sure install version you are testing, but thought I got all the "0 model size radius" fixed? I'm actually not sure anymore either, for testing I switched installs a few times. Will have to reinstall I guess. here is one to add to your list for saved game editing Nope, that one is alre...

Re: broken HOB file switch list
also don't forget special rh2_a.hob with 4 textures 3 normal + scar.gif listed. rh2_a.hob doesn't show any data overlapping issues. I added an integrity check and pushed changes. For Vanilla, BOP, ECM, FMPM and UM5, the only affected files are: switch_list_overlappings.jpg MUM, GALM, UCW have no ov...

broken HOB file switch list
Extending the HobFile reader of UE, I found that there are some HOB files with broken switch list. So far I identiefied hs_a.hob and ks_a.hob in latest vanilla installer 1366 x 768 There the switch list overlaps with last texture entry. Therefore I guess that issue is related to the 5 textures used....

Re: Scientific Theories with DeepAI
It's amazing how well those AI bots collect and process masses of data to serve one's request. But it doesn't actually understand the topic and doesn't assemble and analyse required data by itself but rather accesses a massive library of partially already obsolete and sometimes contradicting writing...

Re: Memory Leak: Solution?
It is very unlikely the uptime itself is responsible to this. Very true however is, that old days C++ programming required to carefully release allocated memory, which most programmers were lazy about. Furthermore the memory becomes fragmented over time, which makes re-allocation less efficien...

Re: Error connecting to database?
Damn bots, I didn't get database errors, but past days AFC has become really slow. From what I read, sadly a common issue these days. What I'd try is some .htaccess rules like I found over here: https://www.johnlarge.co.uk/blocking-aggressive-chinese-crawlers-scrapers-bots/#comment-11823 https://www...

If BOTF was a simple snake program
I guess it will take a few decades until AI is capable enough to learn complex games like BOTF just from the rendered screen input...
