Re: "Generations" BOTF development mod
Was using UE 0.7.1b before Gosh, the last official version by DCER was UE 0.7.2dev5b, released 12 years back. https://www.armadafleetcommand.com/onscreen/botf/viewtopic.php?p=34128#p34128 It's however been a development version. By my logs Version 0.7.1b was the last official released relea...

Re: "Generations" BOTF development mod
Oh shoot I got confused on the BOTF installer and ue installer. Will double check with updated ue installer OMG I was using the wrong version of the editor for awhile 😔 No chance, there still is no new UE release ready yet. But when on https://gitlab.com/stbotf/ultimate-editor you scroll down...

Re: "Generations" BOTF development mod
Nothing out of the ordinary in event logs either There is an application crash logged for sure. You might look at wrong location, just like you name the BotF installer version instead of the UE version used. ;) eventlog-error.jpg The reported offset tells exactly at what file offset trek.exe crashe...

Re: Vanilla Evade/Retreat Crash fix
so far in my tests editing hobs it works very well but as Flocke pointed out my changes causes some offsets to not line up any more in hob file. UE is now in recovery  Based on all the hottohob analysis, I completed to read the whole HOB data now. ( hottohob => https://www.armadafleetcommand....

Re: "Generations" BOTF development mod
Sad to hear. :( When there is no crash.log, check windows application event log for what exact offset the application crashed and report. Same offset might already be reported, and if not, the IDA database might bring some light into what actually caused the crash. Beside of this, for larger modding...

Re: UE and adding more tech levels
So, I might as well ask: Any news yet? Welcome back! TC has been busy finding new bugs. Now my todo list is double the size than two weeks back. But, we both confirmed that adding technology levels with UE basically works. Not sure on messed descriptions though. If they got messed with...

Re: fbboom
I had to replay a few more times, but now I agree, the new one indeed looks better.
There is some better explosion detail while the old animation looked more stretched and not exploding.

Re: Branch/Commits testing of latest UE code
when I was looking at structures I noticed a strange effect (all mods tested) in video you will notice the tga name changes on each selection except orbital battery? The first image letter of the orbital battery is in upper case, the image file however is in lower case and it failed to find the com...

Re: Vanilla Evade/Retreat Crash fix
And before anyone wastes time for this (editing stbof.res files or UE code), a bit more debugging might provide a better/easier trek.exe based solution. I'm sorry but given all displayed and editable values benefit form multi HOB file selection, I went ahead and implemented it. Now you can select a...
