You can probably get it to work using wine. It works great in linux, should work on a mac as well. But I never got multiplayer to work though.

I'm basing it on your ship packages, but them having a texture.lst file will probably be mandatory to make sure UE takes the right textures for the right hob files and a palette.lst file will be optional.

I'm hoping the next version of UE with new features (0.6.6) will make adding ships much easier, but until then you'll need to follow that guide.

Ok I was wrong, 0x4E698 gets called even when no cubes spawn. And it seems to be reading the empsInfo file. I'm not sure what this does anymore. Runs through successfully and no cubes appear. The fourth one (0x4F0E0) is reading from the lexicon.dic, specifically entry 115 which reads: "the Cala...

Hi,

it's converting the application path wrongly - there should be spaces instead of %20, I've uploaded 0.6.5a, let me know if it works now. If not I'll remove it. It's used for finding UE's help files, but those aren't critical.

Ok, I've found another alien id test. The value at 303045 ( 0x49FC5 ) needs to be changed to the first monster's id. I've done tests and didn't have any more crashes. I've uploaded a new version of UE which will set this value as well as others. Just add and remove a ship to make UE edit those value...
