All I'm saying, given the history of all the tournaments on this site, is at least one (1) person either won't show up to play or will start but be unable to finish. Since the proposed 9 person tourney will last weeks, imho, I'm almost certain one ...

An estimate of the time to complete this tournament should be made then all entrants should committ to the time frame.

Single knockout tourney is better.

Remember that there will always be a drag on moral on subjugated systems, requiring constant moral boosts. If you're lucky enough to meet bajor or edo, get membership and build the moral bonus thing. That will really help.

With no moral buildings available on Ferenginar, you need to boost your moral each turn. Try fighting someone, or hailing a minor ship so it runs away or anything that raises your moral.

I would just declare war. Any initial moral penalty will be less than the future moral bonus you will get from battles, liberations, and final conquest.

If you're stronger than the ai, it won't usually declare war on you, no matter what you do. So why wait? Make your invasion fleet and conquer.

I would say that most minors start off with a more favourable view towards fed but the reaction to gifts is the same.
