Re: How to send a statement botf
Pity we can't do that to the AI ..... I've waited 14 years (and counting) to tell the Cardies where to shove their saboteurs.

Re: moon full of water
It could have been another small planet that formed the same time as Earth and the other inner worlds that got too close and got caught in the Earth's gravity field. Who knows? They're always finding out new and exciting things to challenge what we had thought of these worlds. Just last week they fo...

Re: New ST Series Brainstorm
The Earth/Romulan war is what they should have done with Enterprise, instead of blasting gigantic holes in canon, spending a year messing around with the Xindi and then giving us some guff about a temporal cold war to explain the three million inconsistencies/contradictions that cropped up in the fi...

Re: Long time, no see
It's good to be back :) I had a rather awesome and challenging game the other day. I used UE to half running costs and multiply the shield and armour values of all ships 10x what they originally were but left the weapons alone and had a long game starting low tech Klingons. Took 400 turns to finish ...

Re: Ships wont fire torpedo's at starbase...
I've always gotten lazy when it comes to modding weapons ranges with ships and added a 1 or 2 in front of whatever the vanilla values were. (so from 780 they'd be 2780 for example) As far as I've seen they've not had any trouble bringing torpedoes raining down on starbases by the million.

Fine videos indeed, though I'd hate to be at the helm of one of those ships and having to avoid all that firepower

Re: Long time, no see
Awesome I'll take a proper look at that tomorrow. I've spent the last hour or so getting reacquainted with hex-editing and my eyes have gone a little cross-eyed right now

Re: Ferengi models make over
I picked the dark one
Those new ships look great. Certainly they knock the spots off of my attempts to give them a makeover for the AAM.

Re: hard crash when modifying trek.exe
Commodo's in Training mode now. It's just let me load up AAM and run it without any drama. I feel like an idiot for not thinking about looking at that instead of rooting through the depths of my PC and it's hardware.

Re: star trek into darkness
There's a nine minute prologue floating around somewhere for those who are interested. http://trekweb.com/articles/2012/12/15/9Minute-Prologue-of-Star-Trek-Into-Darkness-Leaks-om-the-Internet-Watch-it-Now-on-YouTube.shtml Haven't seen it myself and I shan't be. Star Trek in it's present format is de...

Re: hard crash when modifying trek.exe
well I use comodo too and remember having had troubles when modding trek.exe too as it didn't recognize it as same exe but as far I remember I always was asked then however that might be caused by different security settings so try lower security restrictions with the defender and sandbox or disabl...

Re: hard crash when modifying trek.exe
this is a really weird issue. Is there any special virus detection / registry protection that might interfere and you need to allow first? If it was hardware it shouldn't work on vanilla botf either, but changing the exe it might not get recognized as same program anymore. Strange  Commodo us...

Re: hard crash when modifying trek.exe
No dice, It crashed and burned again, both on the modified Vanilla I'm using and on a fresh install of UDM.
