Re: Playing as the Borg
In my last game as the Borg the nearest minor race was 26 sectors from the Unimatrix One (in a 120x120 galaxy). It was far tougher start from the Borg and after first encounters with major races the Borg were more vulnerable, especially in the fleet strength, because I had to build Assemblers inste...

Re: salvage operations
Well, IIRC I posted something along those lines a while ago, in that there would be a "debris field" in the sector after large battles, which could be "harvested" to get some resources. Probably by Construction Ships or Troop Transports. Some minor civs have Freighters, which are...

Alternatively, maybe in Random Quadrant games the Borg are always spawned in a quadrant on their own with a bias of more Minor Races?

Re: Map Editor
I think I managed to narrow it down to the bottom part of the map file, namely from the Balduk system to the end. You can edit the file with a text editor and find the Balduk system, and iterate from there, by deleting blocks of systems and checking if it loads in the map editor. It's about 400 lines.

Re: Map Editor
Hi kaiidth. One of the issues I cannot load the map is that you have set homesystems for a few minor civs that don't exist in the database: ARKENITES HUPYRIANS etc You also set a homesystems for the Vorta but they don't really exist as a civilization, they're just fluff (they're a race that is part ...

Hi Val!
That's very sad news indeed...
Glad to see you back. Do you have any new (wonderful, as is your trademark) stuff for Supremacy?

I'm pretty sure you won't regret it if you download the game and try it out for some time.

Re: Gameplay videos?
Hi PTRACER. The most recent one I know is Blake's review a few years back (2017). Since then, the game has evolved tremendously, though. There is another one , from 2019, but it was recorded with an older version of the game. Misfire posted a short video showing his work on the combat engine, but it...

Re: Playing as the Borg
Borg Colonizing Planets I have a proposition that the Borg should be able to instantly colonize "unterraformed" star systems. Once colonized, each planet very slowly "auto terraforms" to the Borg biome, at a slower rate than a Colony Ship would. This would allow the Borg to very...

Re: New laptop/Win 11 issues
It's an OutOfMemory error. We have been getting some of those. I'm not sure if it's related to the AI being more active in diplomacy.

Re: Supremacy new release
Is there an anomaly nearby that might be cancelling the scanner? It's odd that it cancels exactly the strength of the scanner, but it's not impossible. Some anomalies have a rotating or a pulsating effect, some are static.
Can you check please, and report back?
