Over here, it doesn't work like that, once you open the box, you are stuck with it, unless it has a manufacture default.

I have never had a problem with game lag, even on Thunder's new bigger maps,

You say that a subjigated system can only build your ships, does this mean that you can no longer build other empires ships from their systems?

I have used the map editor to change a saved game to resemble the cannon galaxy.

But thisgives the cardies a big disadvantage as they only have a small area in cannon terms.
