I've extracted this and the patches to a folder on the root drive, but it can't find the patches.

Maybe future versions could allow you to search for a folder of patch files?

You just need to extract it all to a folder. So you have "bof_patcher.exe" and a separate "patches" folder, stored together. Then it should just work as-is.

To be clear: you must leave the patch files in the "patches" folder. The EXE is stored outside of the "patches" folder.

I have a new release for you guys. It's mainly useability features.

As usual, you can get it from the sourceforge page.

Changes:
  • Firstly, the patcher remembers settings like window positioning and the last used trek.exe location. Nice.
  • I've also cleaned up some of the error messages, so they're less cryptic.
  • There's a new text filter option so you can narrow down your search for patches.
  • I've added patch TAGs, so now all patches are labelled as fixes, enhancements, or other.
  • Finally, there's a small command-line tool for installing or uninstalling patches. This will only be of use to a few people.
If anyone spots any bugs, or has any reasonable feature requests, or wants any specific patches added to the database, please let me know.

Could you please add functionality to patch into my microwave oven to control it remotely while I'm playing BOTF?

Kidding aside, good job on the patcher! Your efforts are truly appreciated!

Do you know if the Edo God / Combat Drone Cloak fixes are still needed with the new patch?

I think each is a separate patch but task force patch might be required for Edo God / Combat Drone Cloak.

also I think the original patch you created is needed with the update patch.

I've updated the cloak default patch to include the "attack system" fixes.

Also I've added a new "Open URL" button in the patcher.

As usual, get the latest release here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bofpatcher/files/

Awesome!

The updated default cloak patch is working perfectly, and I'm really appreciating the "disable Buy confirmation box" patch. So much better. :D

Thanks again for all your hard work QD!

Cloak default fix for task forces - UPDATE:

This unlocks the "attack system" option for cloaked & former cloaked ships: (possible via redeploy anyway)

and

Re-cloak during system attack bug-fix:

The fix auto de-cloaks task forces when ordering "attack system" and prevents any re-cloaking until another order is given.
