Re: MPR++ v0.2.6c open for alpha testing
no idea
guess I'll find out when the official release is out in case it is related to win 8.1
Silverbreaker, did you install directx from mpr++ redist folder or a different version?
you might also check the ogre.log and cegui.log files for exceptions last line only
but thx for the warning on 8.1

Re: MPR++ v0.2.6c open for alpha testing
its not the preview of win 8.1, its the rtm (final)!
yes, i've got all runtimes from your directory installed.
no, botf (standalone) or any other added mod will not run on win 8.1 (failure 0xc0000022)

Re: MPR++ v0.2.6c open for alpha testing
I did get the 8.1 preview installed,
so far I hate it, forced windows account log in is BS only other option is pin but still logs into windows live account.
but on preview version botf loaded after installing direct play (after popup "program requires directplay" do you want to install) same horrible mouse lag if not worse even game froze a few times.
MPR++ was a different story. It gave normal notice "msvcr100.dll is missing" even after installing redist in mpr++ folder. So I am guessing windows 8.1 uses a different version of visual studio files?

WTF!thunderchero wrote:forced windows account log in is BS only other option is pin but still logs into windows live account.
hope that is only the preview, or they patch that soon
No, it should be same files. However you might try get a newer version of it or search installed file on hdd, maybe it went to a wrong folder or the install failed, who knows.thunderchero wrote:MPR++ was a different story. Ansonsten atm kA.

Re: MPR++ v0.2.6c open for alpha testing
correct, I had to install the full version of visual studio 2010Flocke wrote:No, it should be same files. However you might try get a newer version of it or search installed file on hdd, maybe it went to a wrong folder or the install failed, who knows.
then I got missing d3dx9_43.dll, but redist from mpr++ work fine for that.
and then mpr++ worked correctly

Re: MPR++ v0.2.6c open for alpha testing
