Thanks for the link, will try it out this weekend. Managed to solve the Mouse lag issue before you sent it, so going to play the orig game a little first.

Hi, i am looking for a way to remove the lag on win8,
I will also be glad to participate to the testing phase of your mod :)

Flocke, thanks for sending me the link. I installed your mod and it instantly got rid of the mouse lag on windows 8.

I am however experiencing a problem which is that whenever combat occurs and I click the fight button the game crashes. Also this may or may not be related but whenever I go to the research screen and click on the object database button, followed by the submenu “ships” the game will crash.

I’m running your mod with the latest version of UDM and I definitely selected that on install. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and apologies if you have covered this problem in a previous post. I’ve only just discovered this forum & all the brilliant mods!

Hi pvd1999,

this is a common problem of non-MPR++....... :roll:

you might try installing the redist (vcredist_x86.exe and DXSETUP.exe) in "install path"/MPR++/redist if you have not already.

if it was vcredist_x86.exe or DXSETUP.exe the game wouldn't even start. Either the download or install is corrupt or there is a driver issue.
pvd1999 try to disable RTSS in mpr++.ini in mpr++ folder of your install. Just remove that line or put a # in front to comment it out.
I bet that'll do it. What graphics card / chip do you have? You might also try a driver update.
When that doesn't help, please attach ogre.log with the file attach function or use the [ code ] tags when posting, might have some info on your crash.
