Welcome, Zweistein000!

There is an MPR++ version of UM5 available, but I should warn you that it's prone to frequent crashing (to the point that I currently find it unplayable). Unless/until dafedz comes up with a more stable build, I've reverted to the regular version of UM5 for now.

Oh. That's disappointing because regular version doesn't work for me :(

Trying balance of power in the mean time, still not sure how to bomb a planet with 30 orbital batteries :P

Hey...
Where does one get this MPR++ for UM5? It's not there wit the default installer. At least not with the 1024 version.

The version Martok spoke of is on hold, Dafedz has not released required files and am hopeful for other updated files someday (mod and core files)...

Hey,
i have this chrash on udm with mpr++ version. It seems like, whenever i win a game, and the clip is about to start, it crashes.
Tried different victory options and also game settings, but it didnt help.
I searched for a similar problem, but didnt find any.
The rest is running pretty well, so its kinder a minor problem, but it would be nice to see the game-statistics after finishing.

Thx in advance for any help!

hi cele, try to disable the autosave extension in GameSettings.ini (#EXT1=AUTOSAVE)
See if that works, else please upload a savegame so I can have a look

it's indeed the autosave crashing the end game video

to get around in GameSettings.ini either disable the whole autosave extension:
remove EXT1=AUTOSAVE or add a hash in front like so #EXT1=AUTOSAVE and don't enable EXT1=ALL either ofc since it will also enable the AUTOSAVE extension
or in AutoSave section below, remove the TURNSTART flag and the end video will work:
change AUTOSAVE=NEWGAME|TURNSTART|TURNEND|CLOSE|HISTORY to AUTOSAVE=NEWGAME|TURNEND|CLOSE|HISTORY but be aware TURNEND may have issues too e.g. in multiplayer

thx for the save again, at some time I'll have a closer look to fix this

you can aswell just go ingame and turn AutoSave off, it worked for me :D

Hi there! I just recently re-discovered BotF and especially all these awesome mods! Unfortunately, my game suffers from regular crashes during battles with about 20+ ships and none of the suggestions on the web have helped so far. However, I read that MPR++ helped at least one user with this problem, so I'm willing to try :) Can you send me the download link as well?

Oh, and: Will it work with All the Ages Mod? I've grown quite fond of it! Also, I could not decipher all the mod abreviations listed in the first post...

All the Ages Mod however is not supported yet

for the battle crashes, beside mpr++ it might help to install a different graphic driver

Thanks a lot :) I'm still confused as to the mods it is compatible with. Is the following correct?
Vanilla = original game
ECM = ???
UDM = Ultimate Dominion Mod?
BOP = Balance of Power Mod?
Fluids = Fluids Multiplayer Mod?

Not been playing for years but fancy trying it again with a mate online. Hoping the crashing during battles is fixed, also on win 10 so if any problems hopefully sorted too.

Can i try the mpr++ thing?

Also what is required for it botf. Is it fresh install, does it need any official or unofficial patches if so which ones? Any ini tweaks needed?
