first thing, if you are serious about creating new models you will need a long list of software. and without them you will be unable to complete models.

these are just some of the hard to find /expensive software you will need.

I do have 3ds max, as well as Nifskope and photoshop for now.

Of course, I am not a very good 3d artist and will probably encounter a lot of problems along the way, but I'll keep you updated. I figure I could also get help if I come up with a model, diffuse, bump and light mappings and some other artwork for any update on MPR++. So far, I'm still working on the diffuse mapping for the Sydney Class and it might take me some time for it to match already existing Federation ships.
