I know, right?! Since mpr++ came out i never played a mod without it.
Only tried UCW2 a bit; but i have a feeling UCW2 will join the mpr++ band in the next release.

@anjel: Does your MPR++ Vesta you just added have like a small grey transparent shadow a little distance in front of the bow and off the nacelles?

This sounds like you are using the hob model instead of mpr++ placeholder.

I re-added it last evening, on another slot after clearing the graphics for that one; same issue with the shadows and in the same exact places; it i were using the old hob, by changing the host slot i guess i would have had different shadows.
I'll post some pictures later today.
I added all other new models and they are fine; I know using the old hob slows things down when you have too many of those ships in a battle, i didn't notice that but then I only had about 10 Vestas at the most (pretty expensive ship if you ask me :wink: ).
I should get more of them soon and see if it bogs down;

@anjel - i only see the small shadows in the battle screen; the demo screen looks fine.

Here is a link to some pictures of the shadows Vesta shadows

So beautifull ...

"vesta shadows"

those are the "placehoder" polygons marking ship selection box and phaser locations.

I noticed the mesh and placeholder were not centered before conversion (so they do not line up properly)

but why you see them.

you changed mpr++.ini
[gsmain]
FLAGS=3D|3D_BG|3D_PHASER|3D_AUTOZOOM

to

[gsmain]
FLAGS=3D|MPR|MPR_BG|3D_PHASER|3D_AUTOZOOM

|MPR| displays placeholders as well as hob models

this should help
vesta_placeholder.zip

this place holder is centered properly and all polygons are transparent.
