Finishing a new ship pack

Post by thunderchero »

first create a new folder "ship files"

copy all 4 gifs to folder rename each lun_a.gif, lun_b.gif, lun_c.gif, lun_d.gif

copy luna.hob to folder rename to lun_a.hob, lun_b.hob, lun_c.hob (3 exact same files with different name)

next you need the 5 tga image file extract from ship pack one set to edit

rename each as follows

i_lun170.tga (170x142 tga 16 bit)
i_lun120.tga (120x100 tga 16 bit)
i_lun60.tga (60x50 tga 16 bit)
i_lun30.tga (30x30 tga 16 bit) keep the purple border of original image when editing
i_lunw.tga (120x100 tga 16 bit)

Note; 16 bit is very important or game will crash in build screen

edit all images above to repesent your model

use UE and add all file in folder to stbof.res and save

reopen UE go to edit/graphic/textures then register texture of all 4 new gif you just added.

next in UE go to edit/graphic/hobs find the hob file you added and change gif file to the corect one in corect order to all 3 hob files.

next in UE go to edit/ships/ship stats edit one of the ships to have the i_lun120.tga write down the old i_***120.tga so you know what trek.exe slot to edit

and save

Next open trek.exe with a hex editor and find the phaser slot of the i_***120.tga

phasers are between 0x18f7fc - 0x1905ac

if you setup with 8 phasers as in tutoral this would be your phaser code

4C 55 4E 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 C0 3F 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

save trek.exe and test.

then use UE to create a ship pack see tutoral on left ( this may be helpful with some parts of above too)

I am sure I will hear from you again lol

good luck
