Exciting if true. At least it seems to be following the prime timeline, covering events after Voyager, and not the latest movie franchise (which by the way is gearing up for another movie....Rodenberry save us!!!)

Everything about it sounds good, except the authors love of Jar Jar and wanting him involved.

I'd love to see something set after enterprise and before tos -- romulan war?

It may also be an idea to set the series in a different point of view, such as maybe life aboard a Romulan or Klingon vessel, how they would react to first contact with an unknown major power or something.

What I've seen of Discovery is literally an action series, lot's of effects and explosions and the camera movement, it really moves, and a lot (just like in todays Star Trek movies). The story on the other hand is good, I allways thought that the TOS-history klingon-federation war was never seen before and now we got it. What I like the most about Discovery is the klingons, they veery close to what they should look like IMO, truly like an alien race with the ridges going all the way back their backs of their necks. The spore drive is liked because of the classic sci-fi scientific point of view, it is again another pseudo-scientific invention which looks really good (almost like real science with a little imagination added).

Yes, it does look good...but I would be a lot more excited about the series if it wasn't locked behind CBS All-Access. I have no intention of forking over $10.00 a month just to watch one show.
