Help please! - Can a major race be completly disabled?
As the topic subject says, is it possible to disable a major race completely i.e. not playable as AI or human?
Any thought or ideas on this would be appreciated.

Sounds quite difficult, and I guess you'd better not try to fix all locations for removing a whole major race, instead I'd try to disable one by setting it to be dead somehow.
Offset 0x0278 beaten empires in gameInfo might give a start here.
If manipulating a savegame so a major becomes inactive without bad sideaffects works, you could setup a codecave to automaticly do the job. Then you'd only need to remove or disable one race selection on startup.
Ah well, you might also want to remove it's ships and planets but that shouldn't be too difficult when disabling the major works, cause all information to do this with a save is already in the wiki and therefore should be possible to map to the exe.
Still could be alot work, but maybe SCT knows more.
Good luck!

Yeah, if a race's worlds have 0 pop, the race dies after the first turn.KrazeeXXL wrote:I'd try to fiddle around with the respective homeworlds. You could give them a population of zero or a negative growth rate to nullify majors.
Great for mulitplayer when you don't want the pesky (=crappy) ai meddling.

That's exactly the reason why crappy ai is meddling so much I'd say.Dr_Breen wrote:you know the AI is your biggest supporter in MP as it has a lot of money and is willing to give it to you
It always takes sides and helps one player more than another.
Btw, good idea to simply set population to zero. *Thumbs Up*
i don´t want to give false hopes, but i´m planning in the long term to star making some gorn ships and a tholian space station. Now i´m reading one of the Typhon pact book series, "Seize the Fire" to be precisely, and it talks about the gorn, their culture, politics and science. My attetntion is diverted, apart from the story, when a ship it´s described, but im afraid it´s poor the information i can get. But i´ll figure it out something i hope lol
