Notice to all members,

Due to upcoming server changes we need everyone to clean up and empty your PM's boxes. Or messages will be lost.

This will happen in 2 weeks July 20, 2011

when we empty our PM box we will loose the messages anyway. or did i miss something?

I am guessing You are asking, if messages are left in your PM box after July 20, 2011

yes, they will be lost even if they are left in there saved box.

So, if we actually want to save our PMs to refer to at a later date, do we have to literally copy and paste text into a WP file, or is there a simpler way?

Yes, You could copy and paste to text.doc or word.doc or save as web page complete for each PM to your hard drive.

in almost every common forums I'm registered in, you have an option to download your pm's as zip, txt, xml, csv, or whatever. But not with methusalem version of phpnuke here... :/

For the last couple of hours, I've looked around a bit to find some script which would allow to download all pm's @ once. but no luck so far. It seems, as user you have to c'n'p this stuff. And tbh this isn't an option...

I hope afc is going to use an updated version of php nuke on the server changes. It doesn't have to be something extraordinary for me. But an export function for pm's would be a start. I also miss the old scrolly from the startpage which showed the threads with the latest posts - not just the recently created threads...

Then we could need a better registration bc of the bots, a chat function, a possibilty for thunder to ban mac-adresses and so on

That'd be pretty neat. For the moment I'm fed up reading through hundreds of php posts.

Does anyone else has some idea how to backup pm's?

I just opened them and saved the whole page.
I'm glad I finally found a reason to clean up my pm boxes. Already began some months ago when in- and outbox were 100% full, but it's been just too many...
