Birth of the Federation

Is it possible to disable the music for battles without turning off the music for the rest of the game? I like to hear the sound of the ship weapons without any backround music; but I like the atmospheric music for the campaign map.

AFAIK there is no simple way of doing this, if you have the time you could take a look at the trek.exe code see if there is a simpe jump staement that can be NOP'ed, or completly replace the battle music using UE with silent tracks but IMHO more effort than it is worth.
