We're *thinking* about eventually bringing the BOTF2 forums back to AFC as well. The BOTF2 database was saved - Nemitor was able to back it up in its' entirety because for some reason the server went down in America several hours after it went down in the rest of the world. We were able to warn him about the problems before they affected him as well. It's a shame the same thing couldn't have been done for these forums.
The community lives on though, and we're all still here. BOTF isn't going to die because of one little(ish) hiccup like this. In a few weeks these forums will be as busy as they ever were.

Finally back again, looks quite nice
Hope that restoring the BOTF2 forums will be less problematic. Good luck on that!
And hopefully we can get back all the old stuff of this forum as well.
Especially all the information on modding botf, that was split to unnumbered threads.
But it may have a positive effect as well. Now is the chance to restructure and clean up!
What do you think about creating another subforum for exclusively technical info on modding/editing botf. Just like a database.
That got quite unclear for modders with having in all the modding questions and stuff about specific mods as well.

Not everything is lost. thunderchero and afc are still working on transferring stuff from the old forums over here. But I think they want to limit it to solid information, tools and substantial modding posts. So most of the chat and other posts will probably not be carried over.Cdrwolfe wrote:So every post from the previous forum is gone? oh god i hope not.
Regards Wolfe
But the transfer process is far from over, so we will just have to wait and see.
Cheers,
Siggi
