long as i can remember really since it came out in 99, but i have never played it modded or anything like that i didn't even know anyone still played that old game

me neither, since some days ago. I checked this site out "a little". there is much to find out and of course to read. I thought at first, that I've been the only one playing this game, but reading this site/the forums told me the whole opposite.
So I can't just cheer this site and the forum enough. You'll find many answers to much questions. And be sure that the most of the people are willing to help you with problems, you might have. So I was even able to play this fat game again.

This seems like a perfect spot to introduce myself as well.

My real name is Derek, I live in the Netherlands. Have been playing the game every since I got my hands on it, probably 99. Played it off and on over the years. Never seemed to get boring. Though the AI in single player is getting a bit... predictable after 10 years. :-p So I was primarily looking for a site with all kinds of possible patches and mods. I seem to have found it!

Would love to play multiyplayer games. I'll take a look around and try to figure out how things are organized here!

it will answer lots of questions you may have.

after you've done reading this you may visit www.ewarzone.com and download a little software called warzone. it's free and most people here use it for multiplaying. it has of course an integretated chat function. Often in the evening or the weekend you can find ppl there to chat or/and to play some games with.

if you're connecting with warzone for the first time it's important that you don't forget your password There is an saving option, too, but its allways better to remember your password. it will register your nickname. there is no other way of registration.

Maybe you wanna join the tournament? it's just for fun and more new players like you (and me) should join it. the sign up is opend until the 16th january
now we have 17 players if I remember right.
