Thanks.

Well, this is actually the first I've seen of SGU but this trailer makes it appear as some kind of SG/NuBSG/Voyager thingy.
Let's find out if this is good of bad

most of the ppl shared the same opinion, me either ;)

Hopefully there will be some good looking women in this show. I'm looking forward to their version of 7 of 9 ;)

Hmm, the ship's shape looks cardassian (except the wrong colour).

The whole "Hey kid, your a nobody but your country - your world needs you" plot is tiresome.

Is this a new series then? Or a movie?

Looks average but could swing either way.

I heard yesterday from it for the first time, so I can't tell you Torrad. But it looks like a new SG series.

hopefully they try to integrate some "real" aliens. I allways hated these overcrowded human SG-Galaxy. totally ridiculous. yea I know they adapted the story that it would fit.
But at the end it was boring allways to see humans on almost every planet :P

Hopefully this will be good, as I did enjoy the other Star Gate shows. However, I am very underwhelmed by the preview. It looks like the plot of ST: Voyager set in the world of the new BSG. The ship, especially the interior, looks just like BSG. And even the lighting seems to be based off the idea of looking like BSG.

I agree, that's pretty much BSG-style.
The lighting on the new Galactica always made me wonder whether the producers spent so much money on everyting else they had none left fof the electric bill. :)

how can they see a thing? they are moles in space if you ask me ;)

they haven't any windows - at least the Galactica. so how can it be bright inside? :P

Colonial One has windows and it is bright inside it!

btw the dark sets have some advancements for the production which can be finished much faster. Light is allways a big problem in productions which cause lots of time = huge ammounts of money (which you can spend on cgi or story writers then f.e.)
The other fact is that the darkness creates a depressed athmosphere which perfectly fits to the situation and mood of the people aboard the ship(s).

It is a new TV series coming out. from what i've read they already have about 16 episodes filmed

and i agree it's very BSG looking. luckily i was a fan of that series too. :D

I've known about this for a while now, thanks to wikipedia showing me the link when I was doing some research on King Arthur. Its a new Stargate Series, the concept being they gate to the ship the ancients used to colonise the universe with humans. Aparently on this series though, they are going for the 'truly alien' and relying less on the humans in plastic and make up. Lets see how long that lasts.

Well, one of the most popular races was the CGI Asgard.

If done properly there should not be any problem.
Babylon 5 did it 15 years ago with the Nakaleen feeder and CGI-technology made quite a few leaps since then

Looks awesomesauce...can't wait to see it...and look it Jack O'Neill hurrah....lol

I hated Voyager...biggest pile of Star Trek poo-doo since Star Trek V. Liked Galactica and the other SG series and films.
