hi guys i was wondering if any of you cleaver soenso's might have an answer to this. is it possiable to switch off one of the majours?? i was just wondering as in theory it would speed up the game as there would be a lot less processing required.

I do not think this is possible without crashing alot. If you are skilled in disassembling HEX code then you may be able to subtract an empire successfully from the game, tho noone here has discovered it (to my knowledge).

Also, if you do decide to undertake the project, it would be nice of u to post your findings so that we may all benefit from your work, as all of our Codemasters here do for the AFC community... such as if you figure out a way to ADD MORE EMPIRES OR MINORS to the game, that would be a significant find.

I maybe completly off base (most the time I am :wink: )

But with all that gowron's knows of map generation this might be possible :?:
Just to not place any system for selected major and it would be considered defeated?

i think adding minors is not impossible. there must be a value in trek.exe for every chosable amount of minors (few = 5, some = 10 and so on) together with a list of all the registrated minors which surely can be expanded messing the assembler code
