Animosity between Selay and Anticans

Everyone knows that when you befriend the Anticans then the Selay will get mad at you, and vice versa...

What controls the minor race attitudes toward each other (mainly the Selay and the Anticans attitudes)?

The Trabe and Kazons share the same animosity. I want to use the slots for the respective races.

Thoughts? Ideas? Answers? Post here-

Tethys -- i've never notice this having an effect in-game, sure agree with you about the relationships between various minors but i haven't noticed an effect when i befriend the selay on the anticans relationship with me. what sort of affect are you seeing?

Well say when I meet both Anticans and Selay, when I sign a friendship with Selay, the sympathy toward Anticans toward me goes down, and vice versa, unless I give them money to compensate. I dont ever remember having them both membered together either, but I might be wrong.

I member them both all the time. And even though one is already a member, when the other joins they say, "Let the (-----) beware!". Never paid any attention to whether friendship with one lowers the others moral towards me, but it doesn't affect it if the other is already a member.

I've had both selay and anticans as member (usually after alot of diploblitz) but what i'm trying to understand is tethys is which diplomatic act(s) trigger diplomatic decline with another/opposition race? -- is it any treaty or gift, gift above a certain value, friendship/affiliaion/membership treaty that affects this?

:p
