I have started a list and editing mod for an update. "UDMIII 3.0.0"

Changes:
production bar fix for federation interface.
rm-ro tga fix for black background.
toned down minor stats.
increased starbase stats
Coridan Staryard bonus changed from 8000 industry to 100% industry
Symbiont's Raiders Guild changed to % espionage total.
special ships diabled (structure will still give same production bonus)
Upgrading buildings bug (fix)
scrapping ships revenue lowered to 50%
Unknown ship stats pop-up bug (fix)
terraforming image bug
disable check for extra starting systems;
tech 1 home 0 system, tech 2 home 1 system, tech 3 home 2 systems, tech 4 home 3 systems, tech 5 home 4 systems.
25% more systems (Note this will be best played in irregular or elliptilcal)

I'm so glad that you're fixing the terraforming image bug and the Federation production bar image. :D While it's not a huge problem, it can be unpleasant to the eye during gameplay.

I also made a few changes to ship stats and building structures that I'd like to share with you that I think work well in the game.

1) I made the scanner upgrades vanilla so you start with subspace scanner, to listening post, and finally the deep space array. Cardassians get the original covert sensor array with +6 scan range.

2) I put the Talarians back in the game and gave them the Defense Force structure with 50% ground combat.

3) Federation Advanced Starship Design Bureau grants 75% construction research bonus. Romulan Astrophysics Academy grants 75% energy research bonus.

4) The Federation is now king of intelligence. Section 31 grants 3000 Intel pts. Romulan Talshiar grants 15% bonus to general intelligence. Dominion Great Link grants 25% bonus to intel but limited to home system.

5) Shield and hull strength reduced. Firepower increased for some ships and lowered for others for better balance. Orbital battery strength reduced to compensate for lowered hull and shield strengths.

6) Changed the Min and Max Beam/Torpedo range closer to vanilla. Phasers fired too far away, and torpedoes fired too close.

I'll use the Galaxy Class as the base model. I gave it a scan range of 3 b/c it's an explorer/battleship and bumped up the phasers and photons to number listed from TNG tech manual.

Hi everyone,

I just updated UDMIII readme this has new building stats and ship stats(thanks to Gowron) Ship stats and building bonuses have already been changed for next update. (if there is no other feedback) :wink:

Also I have Talked to Dr_Breen and will be adding some of his great dominion ships and cardassian outpost :lol:
As well as my soyuz for first destroyer for feds. these changes are not in readme yet.

Very cool. I especially love the Soyuz and the Dominion battlecruiser in the upper-right corner; it looks very Jem Hadar-esque. 8)

Any planing for minor-race ships updates or do they only produce this tech 3 ships in the endgame? I remember it's possible to add some more minor-race ships with the same models but a different tech-request, weapon-dmg, etc.

I'm just curious, will you add the bigger map setting for UDM? Or no?

nice models. I really like them. the cardassian outpost could be a lil bit more grey. then it'll be perfect ;)

not unless it gets display problem resolved before release.

but a special exe could be created for any mod. I have been playing with a vanilla 40x30 exe.

If you don't make a bigger galaxy map an official part of the mod, then it would be great if you'd include a link for an optional exe like Gowron did for BOP. Truth is, even though the large display is a pain, I've really fallen in love with the bigger galaxy.

Q: This new stats will be more balanced? I take a look & don't see mutch changes... mhhh... maybe I have to look again.

stats have been edited for new ships and building changes, some other stats were changed not for "balance" more for fairness, UDMIII has many advatages depending on race you select.

So yes you are correct many stats had no change.

Hi Everyone,

I am going to ask a silly question :wink:

Is anyone interested in prerelease of UDM3.0.0?

I think I am finished just need to get other files ready for release of new multi installer files (main installer and other mods).

This file is already in new multi format and will work with main installer that is being used now. If no errors are found this should be release version. Full readme is included in installer.

PM me for link, if anyone is interested.

just one problem... not sure if it's because of a possible bad installation on my part, but every single minor race that joins me has absolutely no structures built.

it was not a bad installation, I can confirm bug but gets little better as game goes on.
Nothing but additude were change so will have to look into problem.
Also strange part of this bug minor join with fanatic or loyal morale :lol:

But gives me a reason to add 20x15, 30x22, 40x30 exe when bug is found.

also keep eye on scale of new ships. forgot they have not been set yet.
