Well, with the extension of the shiplist, i believe we may see more then one ship for some of the minors, where the more powerful ships would naturally come in higher tech levels. As for implementing tech levels and upgrades, i dont know how or even if the minors could do this. Or if its even possible..OllyG wrote:I agree, count 23: whilst I LOVE this mod, the Maquis ships are far, far too powerful...count23 wrote:Question: Is it really necessary to have minor races ships be so overwhelmingly powerful compared ot major race ships? 9 Constitution class with 9 Mirandas couldn't take down 4 miradorn raiders... that seems a bit wrong.
And the Maquis, why is it their fighters can take down a Keldon class ship and Chakotay's couldn't even dent the shield of a Galor class in Voyager?
It's something i've played about with, and while i have gotten the minors to build ships and build up-graded versions, i've so far not been able to get their older models to auto-upgrade, and yep i have checked several times to make sure the option is selected in UE.
I had a shock not too long ago when i ran into the Gorn...they had 17 ships waiting for my hapless scout
though that might have had something to do with reducing the cost of their ships down to near nothing.

Hello from Germany.
I test, play & enjoy your awesome modification & just want to say 'thanks'. In my opinion it's importent to reply on way, because all you modders do a great job.
After playing a while, I notice that two in-game pictures of the Romulan Stormbird & Warbird have a dark (black) background, instead the typical purple, blue, green galaxy background. Will there be a hotfix soon?
(sorry, for my bad english)

40% ehm,... I only notice this missing background when I build-up the Warbird & Stormbird. Check this Screenshot, pls... hope, now you know what I am meaning.thunderchero wrote: About images with and the black background. There is no plans for changing them. 40% of the images are this way. and making cutouts for each of them is not worth the time even when making new models. In my opinion.

I love the mod, but one main issue I seem to have is crashing
I'm running Vista, 64 bit and the game will work fine until I do manual battles
Clicking "fight", 75-80% of the time results in a crash back to the desktop.
Also happens when I click "Close" on the "Cloaked ships get a first?/free turn" on the battle screen.
Anyone else getting that?

Hi, I have the same problem & runnin' Win Vista. In addition, I can crash the game really easy by taking a look to the 3D models in the research-menueDeimos wrote:I love the mod, but one main issue I seem to have is crashing

first what version you using?
single click installer UDMIII3.0.i3 (hades 2.2)
single click installer UDMIII3.0.is (no hades)
new multi installer UDMIII3.0.i (hades 1.1)
(NOTE: all file above have same game files only hades is differant)
if using on vista 64 bit, try to use 32 bit compatability mode if you are not doing so already.
BTW first time I have heard of BOTF of any kind working on 64 bit system.
