i had the same problem too. even when i conquered all the starting colonies for the other majors no structures were found. i think the attack scout for the dominion is to big it is almost the same size as the heavy attack fighter.

Seen this minor race bug (no structures) a few time before, it seem to happen if you get luckly and they join you very quickly (5-10 turns in).

After about turn 20 they it sorts it's self out, but can happen later in the game with a few minors :( Will run a few games this week to try and pin point more info.

it happened to me even later in the game around turns 150-225 after i gave them time to develop

Hi everyone,

Bad news been tring to fix problem when minors join with no structures. every backup has this same problem back to 3.0.i.

So 3.0.0 needs no more testing. :cry:

when new update will be availible is unknown.

I have it figured out, :D but problem was in trek.exe. and had to add code from backup trek.exe from 3.0.i, (I have been at it for over 12 hours today) So new installer will need to be released. So feed back on installer that is already out, would give little info that could be used.

progress today,

fixed minor structure when they join (min structures I have seen is 2 energy structures on turn 5) so it is back to normal early structure bug :wink:

found enraged bug for T'lani and fixed

all code added back into trek.exe

enlarged small to 20x15 minors, none 0, few 10, some 15, many 20, systems 100
enlarged medium to 30x22 minors, none 0, few 20, some 25, many 30, systems 220
enlarged large to 40x30 minors, none 0, few 20, some 25, many 30, systems 400



Note; maps may not have max minors or systems on all levels

edit; the more I look at maps I think will lower medium and large to 150 and 200 systems. It is too crowded. :wink:

Thunderchero, What's the deal with the new maps with all the empires starting right next door to each other?

I've noticed this in a few BOP games lately. Checking out the new "bigger maps" only to find half the maps don't really get used. Looks the same for UDM3.
Take the last map posted in this thread for example (or most posted up thread for that matter) if you were playing as the feds in that last map you'd meet everyone except possibly the Romulans before turn 40. It's also likely that only the Romulans would even expand into the lower third of that map.
"New Medium" is about the only spreadout and balenced map in that bunch and still has Cardassia only five sectors from Bajor.

Has anyone else noticed this trend in play or have Thunderchero and I just been getting odd maps?

i've noticed it too with BOP. i was right next to three empires right off the bat, and the other two weren't that far off

Well I've gotten about 40 turns in as the Dominion.

Not too much action yet, though the federation surprised by seeking a rapid alliance.

Membered the Naussicans and they came with a full system of structures :)

I've noticed a couple of minor things though.

Dominion Attack fighter III isn't set so it'll
upgrade to IV.

The Maquis when I met them had a neutral opinion of the Dominion, though i've checked with UE that it was set to hostile / enraged area and according to that it is.

And finally the starting buildings in the home systems.

I can't remember now but I'm sure that in previous versions they were set so there was more industry, etc for the larger populations. As they are at the moment they're the same as they are set in vanilla for each empire.

Jeez. Good thing I decided to reinstall today. I struggled to find the 1.0.2 patch and found that today the newest version was released! Awesome, thanks a whole heap chero


edit: when I tried running udm I got mss32.dll was not found. I copied the mss32.dll from the \botf folder into the \botf\udm folder and still no dice. I got the 1.0.2 from your link on the first page of this thread.
