you have clearly never played any of the europa universallis games ;)
I suggest that we now REDUCE through modding (someone needs to make a tool for this) the building times so everything builds in ONE turn. This would help espically as our empire gets bigger and bigger on GALAXIES mod..
the latext version of DCER's UE can do this.

no the topic on improving the AI explains what the AI does -- in effect IIRC AI gets money bonus and rush buys every thing, look at the topic on ai system structures in the modding index by sct.

search the threads for UE is under his signature as a 4shared.com and IIRC it comes with the multi-mod installer?

try BOP mod. you don't have to upgrade anything 10 times anymore.

automatic farms and energy buildings advance with tech-level. and luckily, you just have 5 levels of mass replicators left. this saves a huge amount of time to say at least.

overall: the AI is stronger and more active as it don't has to upgrade that often + it will also have "some" money left. also trade goods will generate more money.

see BOP thread or readme for the entire list of changes Gowron made.

In Galaxies my goal is to be able to limit upgrades to 3. So instead of having 15 upgrades for buildings (for tech 1-15) you would get an upgrade every 5 tech breakthroughs. There is currently no way to make a tech 15 building available at only tech 15+.

ORLY? So your saying type 1 farms and energy will upgrade to type 2 farms and energy on the turn of tech 2 breakthrough?

nope tethys. they stay the same but the bonus-percentage changes with each lvl-up.

In vanilla it was 2% iirc. in BOP it's different.

In the TOS Mod i'm working on it's 10% Tethys, still have to upgrade but you do get the benefit of improved technology straight away.
