Sound files

I'm sorry if this question sounds kinda dumb.
But I've tried to extract the sound files from the game and my endeavor was relinquished by the simple fact that I don't know exactly how to do that.
What's up with that AU audio format? Are the sounds even in there? -If not, where are they anyway?
